Logistics Team Manager

This role is based in Michelin Corporate & Business Services in Bucharest, where more than 800 colleagues deliver excellence in Purchasing, Finance, Logistics, Order to Cash, Service Management and Personnel.

The Logistics Team Manager will ensure three main missions:

  • Oversee the purchasing of goods and services to meet SLA requirements and ensure all logistics procedures are compliant, in place and respected;
  • Coordinate and manage the performance of the team according to the objectives defined at the Service Line level, while aligning with Michelin’s purchasing and supply chain principles;
  • They take responsibility for team operations and focus on continuous development and growth of team members.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree;

  • Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role is mandatory;

  • Ability to manage and lead teams of 10-15 people effectively, ensuring team alignment, performance, and development;

  • Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain management or a related field is an advantage;

  • Good knowledge of English is mandatory (B2+) and French is an advantage;

  • Proactive in problem solving, developing ideas and solutions to streamline workflows, processes and cross-functional efforts.

The Logistics Team Manager will:

  Resource and organizational management.

  • Define and set up the organization and resources necessary to conduct the daily activities for his/her team.
  • Anticipate evolution (workload, projects) and adjust the existing organization.
  • Manage the team in compliance with the management principles defined by the company.
  • Assess the skills of each team member and ensure that each person has the tools, knowledge and help necessary to reach their objectives.
  • Draw up the annual development plan for his/her team.
  • Draw up the training plan for newcomers (Individual Training Plan).
  • Anticipate new skills for qualification.
  • Qualify on the post the persons.

Team performance coordination

  • Communicate the objectives defined in the operational perimeter to the team.
  • Define the annual plan for his/her team in line with the SLA agreement and the annual plan for the Service line.
  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the annual plan for his/her team.
  • Coordinate the communication between CBS and the countries/partners in his/her scope.
  • Monitor and measure process performance using MW methodology.
  • Accompany the members of his/her team.
